The contest is expected to take place in South Africa on August 11, 2010, a date aside set by FIFA for national teams across the globe to play friendly matches.
The Black Stars' impressive showing at the just ended Mundial where they reached the last eight, is said to have influenced South Africa's decision to settle on Ghana.
Whilst Ghana made history by reaching the quarter final stage of the World Cup, tournament hosts South Africa were kicked out at the group stage.
The friendly match, which would be played at one of the numerous beautiful stadiums where the World Cup matches were played, is geared towards sharpening the rough edges for both sides.
